School Performances by the JazzMN Orchestra
The full JazzMN Orchestra will perform a concert at your school! These performances will often be in combination with student soloists or ensembles and can be part of a music/jazz festival. JazzMN musicians will also work one on one with students to improve their skills.
Clinics and Master Classes
JazzMN musicians and guest artists will provide educational clinics and master classes to small and large student groups. These can either be on-site at a school or off-site at another location or business.
JazzMN Orchestra rehearsals are open to students so they can observe first-hand how a concert performance comes together. Dress rehearsals, which occasionally include the guest artist, are also open to student observers. Students attending these rehearsals are offered complimentary tickets to the performance.
Your school’s jazz ensemble is invited to perform preceding one of JazzMN Orchestra’s concerts during the upcoming season. Your pre-concert performance will include a half-hour set from 6:45-7:15pm, with the featured JazzMN concert starting at 7:30pm. All performing students and directors will receive complimentary admission to the JazzMN concert, will be listed in the JazzMN Patron Program, and will have the opportunity to meet and learn from the musicians on stage following the concert.
Customize an Educational Outreach Experience
JazzMN works with jazz educators and school band directors to tailor an educational experience to meet the specific needs of the students.
